The workshops are enjoyable and sociable for participants, volunteers, tutors and artists. We explore a variety of mediums and techniques such as painting, collage, sculpture, digital arts and printmaking. Artists explore environmental themes, and follow their own inspiration, developing their own style and ideas. The workshops are a valuable chance for people to explore identity and become more independent, especially for those who may have limited choice in other areas of their lives.
We hold regular exhibitions that give the artwork the visibility and recognition it deserves. At the Private Views & at community events, visitors get the opportunity to meet the artists and see their art. These opportunities and interactions impact on people’s perceptions of learning disability and help challenge stereotypes, displaying the work of artists with and without learning difficulties, students and professional artists, side-by-side.
Merchandise and selling art
We create, exhibit and sell artwork, prints, cards and apparel at the studio, gallery, at events and online. Profits from sales are split with the artists. By purchasing from us, you get unique and affordable artwork while providing a source of income for people with learning disabilities as well as funding our workshops and exhibitions.
